A Historic Beginning
The seeds of WAM were sown in the year 2001-2002 when a momentous meeting took place at the MAHATHI stadium in Tirupathi. Distinguished Arya Vysya leaders from across the nation congregated under the able guidance of Mr. Paparao Garu, the former president of Andhra Pradesh. In the presence of esteemed figures such as Mr. Konijeti Rosaiah, our clan chief, and former Mahasabha presidents like Mr. T.G. Venkatesh, Mr. Pardhasaradhi, and Mr. Ambika Krishna, the future of WAM was charted.
Leadership for a New Era
Fast forward to 2015, when the honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu and one of WAM’s founders, Shri. Konijeti Rosaiah Garu, played a pivotal role in shaping the leadership of this global organization. Together with the election officer and founder, Shri. Immidi Koteswararao Garu, a distinguished team was proposed and elected. Shri. Tanguturi Ramakrishna Garu was elected as the President of World Arya Vysya Mahasabha, supported by leaders from Telangana, Kerala, and other states. This marked a new era of progress and unity for the community.
Our Vision and Objectives
WAM’s vision is rooted in implementing sustainable programs that enhance access to opportunities and services for current and future generations. To achieve this vision, we have set forth several objectives:
- Establish a common platform for global Arya Vysya communities to connect and collaborate.
- Develop chapters in populous cities and towns, ensuring our reach extends far and wide.
- Promote charity and community services, uplifting those in need.
- Protect against bias and discrimination towards Vysyas in society.
- Develop welfare programs like the Corporation for Development of Vysyas.
- Encourage youth participation in political and administrative domains.
- Advocate for educational loans for our community students and equal representation in various governmental positions.
- Recognize and honor Vysya leaders and achievers worldwide to inspire others.
