Arya Vysya Community Comes Together Across Continents
In a historic moment for the Arya Vysya community, the World Arya Vysya Mahasabha (WAM) recently organized a series of celebrations spanning continents. From Australia to Africa, Asia to the Middle East, devotees came together to honor Sri Vasavi Kanyakaparameshwari and celebrate her Jayanthi with unwavering devotion.
Key Events
- Ugadi Celebrations (April 2024): The festivities kicked off with Ugadi celebrations, marking the Telugu New Year. Families gathered to exchange warm wishes, enjoy traditional delicacies, and seek blessings for a prosperous year ahead.
- Vasavi Jayanthi (May 2024): Sri Vasavi Kanyakaparameshwari’s Jayanthi was observed with great reverence. Devotees participated in special pujas, archanas, and abhishekams to honor the divine mother. Her teachings of compassion, sacrifice, and selflessness resonated across borders.
- Satyanarayana Swamy Varatam: Devotees performed the Satyanarayana Swamy Vrat, seeking blessings for their families’ well-being and prosperity. The sacred rituals were conducted with utmost devotion.
- Rudrabishekham: The Rudrabishekham ceremony invoked Lord Shiva’s blessings. Devotees chanted Rudram and offered abhishekam to the Shiva Lingam, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening.
- Srirama Navami: Sri Rama’s birth anniversary was celebrated with recitations of the Ramayana, bhajans, and kirtans. Devotees immersed themselves in the divine stories of Lord Rama and sought his grace.
Global Unity and Commitment
Despite their hectic schedules, the NRI Vibhag Presidents of WAM from Tanzania, Australia, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar diligently orchestrated these events. The committed efforts of Anil Kumar Kalva from Tanzania WAM, Rajesh Bysani from Abu Dhabi WAM, Chunduru Satyanarayana from Australia WAM, Bhaskhar Gupta from Singapore WAM, Somaraju Qatar WAM and Krishna Anjaneyulu from Kuwait ensured that devotees worldwide could partake in these sacred celebrations.
